Boston-based Clear Ballot, a startup that makes voting machines and accompanying software, has raised $18 million from a host of high-profile investors as it readies to expand its voting system across the country.

The money comes from Bessemer Venture Partners, Ventureforgood, and DN Capital, as well as Peter Lynch, the former manager of Fidelity’s Magellan Fund; Steve Papa, Endeca’s founder and CEO; and Harvard University Professor Michael Porter.
